LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Eight dogs rescued from Thailand arrived at the Los Angeles International Airport Thursday night thanks to the help of an animal wellness group in Sherman Oaks.

Animal Hope and Wellness Foundation and its founder Marc Ching said the dogs were facing meat slaughterhouses in the country. But now they're being rehabilitated and put up for adoption in Southern California.

Ching said he hopes the undercover video and photos he took while rescuing the dogs can help stop the abuse animals face in other countries.
