Dog abandoned in boarded up doghouse gets new home

Walter, rescued after being left for dead in a nailed-shut doghouse, got his permanent new home Monday morning.

It's been a long road for Walter. The 3-year-old chow mix was found discarded in the street and had been trapped in the doghouse for three days.

Ghetto Rescue took him in and treated his physical wounds, but they were nothing compared to the emotional scars no one could see.

Ben's Asphalt stepped forward, building Walter a home that exceeded everyone's expectations.
