Long Beach man hopes to find missing parrot

LONG BEACH, Calif. (KABC) -- The owner of an African grey parrot is looking for his feathered friend Jack after he was scared away by a hawk.

Jack, 1, was perched on Nathan St. Brice's shoulder Friday when a hawk swooped down and scared his beloved bird. Jack flew away and hasn't been seen since.

St. Brice said his other bird Nina is depressed. He did not clip the parrots' wings because he felt that wasn't the right thing to do.

Jack has a blue band on one leg, and St. Brice is offering a reward for Jack's safe return. If anyone sees him, St. Brice said his pet loves Cheetos.
