Pet of the Week: 3-year-old Chihuahua named Bernie

LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Our Pet of the Week on Tuesday, April 7, is a male smooth-coated, chocolate Chihuahua named Bernie. Please give him a good home!

Bernie is believed to be about 3 years old. He was taken to the shelter by a good Samaritan after being struck by a car.

Bernie is recovering wonderfully with the help of the staff at the North Central Shelter. He's able to walk but still needs a little more cage rest.
