Toy company will make exact replica of your pet

LOUISVILLE, KY -- A toy company in Kentucky has found a way to ease separation anxiety when you are away from your precious pet. Their solution? To turn your pet into a stuffed animal.

For around $129, depending on your pet's size, Cuddle Clones will make a custom-made stuffed or figurine version of your animal. All you have to do is send them a photo. You can even specify your animal's stance, including ear and tail positions.

Cuddle Clones not only does dogs and cats, but horses, pigs, birds- whatever kind of animal you request.

Cuddle Clones CEO, Jennifer Williams came up with the idea when she realized she would never be able to find a stuffed animal that looked like her Great Dane, Rufus, Cuddle Clones Co-founder, Adam Greene told BuzzFeed News.

"She couldn't buy anything off the shelf that would look like him," Greene said. "We found there really was a need from this and no one really was fulfilling it out there."

Co far this month, Cuddle Clones has received at least 500 requests, Buzzfeed reports. A portion of each order is donated to pet charities and shelters.

Greene told Buzzfeed that about 40 percent of their customers use their service to help them get over the loss of their pets that died- something he said he can relate to.

"I've lost a pet before," Greene said. "You at least know someone if you haven't. It really is like losing a member of the family. It's quite a jolt."

The company also offers gift cards, custom collars, and granite memorials.
