LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- The International Space Station is expected to pass directly in front of the moon on Friday evening.

Sky watchers should begin keepping an eye on the moon in the southwest sky at around 6:35 p.m. At 6:38, the ISS may be viewable, rising to the right.

Three minutes later, it should pass very, very close to the moon, from right to left.

Binoculars will help viewers get a better look.
