WASHINGTON (KABC) -- Keurig is recalling about 7 million single-serve coffee brewing machines in North America because of reported burns.

The company says its MINI Plus Brewing Systems, with model number K10, can overheat and spray water during brewing.

Keurig has received about 200 reports of hot liquid escaping from the brewer, including 90 reports of burn-related injuries.

The machines affected by the recall came in 13 different colors and have an identification number starting with "31" followed by a range of numbers printed on a white sticker on the bottom of the brewer, according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission.

The recalled brewers were sold in the U.S. and Canada between 2009 and 2014 for $100 at various retailers.

Keurig says consumers should contact the company at (844) 255-7886 for a free repair.
