LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- ABC7 first profiled Lauren Swerdloff as a Cool Kid back in 2012, when she was a volunteer at the Hollywood Sunset Free Clinic.
Now, after volunteering there for more than seven years, becoming a board member, and studying at Columbia University, she has written a book on the clinic.
Swerdloff's book "Uplifting Lives" profiles the 48-year legacy of one of the country's first free clinics.
She discusses the book and her work at the clinic with Danny Romero in the video above.
