EAST LOS ANGELES, Calif. (KABC) -- The nation's largest and oldest Hispanic parade will kick off this weekend.
The 68th Annual East LA Mexican Independence Day Parade will feature marching bands, colorful floats and equestrian units.
The route will run along Cesar Chavez Avenue, from Mednik to Gage avenues.
The parade festival, which will feature food and family fun, will happen on Mednik, next to Belvedere Park.
ABC7 is a proud sponsor of the event and our own Alysha Del Valle will serve as La Madrina.
ABC7's live coverage begins Sunday at 10:30 a.m. on a special Vista L.A. on ABC7.
