Over 400 people took their Christmas love to a record-breaking level when they set the Guinness World Record for most couples kissing under a mistletoe this weekend.

Standing underneath a large mistletoe at Six Flags Over Georgia on Saturday, 201 couples held hands and shared a kiss to set the Guinness World Record for most couples kissing underneath the festive holiday plant. Mistletoe is traditionally hung up in homes for romantic pairs to kiss under during the holidays.

The event was sponsored by oral care company DenTek at the Austell, Ga. theme park.

"This is the most exciting event I've been to. Everyone was so happy to participate in the record. It is a memory that will last a lifetime," said Guinness World Records Adjudicator Tavia Levy.

Some of the participating couples posted about their lovely record-breaking experience to social media.

"Oh you know... we broke a word [sic] record this past weekend!"

"Getting ready to break a world record!"

The new mistletoe record is just one of the dozens of fun, holiday-themed records that Guinness keeps track of. Last year, 2,945 participants in Honduras set the world record for the largest human Christmas tree. In 2011, the record for the largest Christmas stocking was set in Italy at over 168 feet long and 70 feet wide.
