Pink tutus kick off OC's Race for the Cure event

NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. (KABC) -- Orange County kicked off its annual Race for the Cure event with the donning of pink tutus.

Participants gathered Thursday in Newport Beach to encourage people to register for the big race, which raises money for breast cancer research, treatment and outreach.

The race will be held Sept. 28. ABC7 is a sponsor.
