Los Angeles Angels closer Huston Street suffered a groin injury Wednesday night and may not be able to pitch until after the All-Star break.

Street said the injury to his left groin happened on the penultimate pitch of the Angels' 3-2 victory over the Colorado Rockies, and then he aggravated it further on the final pitch as he earned his 24th save of the season -- No. 299 for his career.

"I don't think it's that bad," Street told reporters after the game. "I've had it in the past where I can't walk around on it. My gut tells me this one isn't that bad. Worse comes to worst, if I can't be back by the Seattle series, we have the All-Star break."

Street doesn't expect to land on the disabled list but was frustrated at not being able to help as the Angels have pulled within 1 games of the AL West-leading Houston Astros.

"You're frustrated, you're furious anytime you feel like you are letting your teammates down when you can't be out there," Street said. "But you turn the page and try to get back as quickly as you can."
