Austin Rivers is officially sticking with the Los Angeles Clippers after re-signing with the team Friday to a three-year deal, but he is switching things up in some ways -- starting with his number.

According to Rowan Kavner of Clippers.com, Rivers is going back to the number he wore at Duke -- No. 0 -- because he feels it's the start of a new beginning for him personally as an NBA player, despite returning to the same team.

"I chose zero because that's where I start from and go up," Rivers said. "It's a fresh start. This is where I feel like it begins for me as 'a pro's pro.'"

Rivers said this offseason was different in comparison to prior ones for him because of the higher interest from teams -- most likely spurring from his outstanding Game 6 performance in Portland.

At the end of the day though, he wanted to stay consistent and stick with the team he is already building chemistry with at the start of his NBA career, posting this Instagram to social media to express his excitement.

And hey, we can't help but mention having his father, Doc Rivers, as his head coach may be an added incentive to stick around in Los Angeles, too.
