The grandmother of Los Angeles Sparks star Candace Parker has been found safe at an Applebee's restaurant in the Chicago suburb of Joliet, according to her family.

Joan Potter, 82, was reported missing on Monday in Huntley, Illinois, after she failed to arrive at a relative's home earlier that day, police said. When family members went to check on Potter, they found her car missing from hernorthwest suburban Chicago home.

According to WLS-ABC Chicago, Potter's family said she is OK after being found at the Applebee's on Plainfield Road, though it is presently unknown how she got there.

Parker expressed her gratitude in a tweet on Tuesday night and said she was "happy and relieved" to confirm that her grandmother had been found.

The WNBA star had previously asked for the public's help in a Facebook post earlier on Tuesday.
