Free-agent big man Cole Aldrich has reached agreement on a three-year, $22 million deal with the Minnesota Timberwolves, according to league sources.

Sources told ESPN that the Minnesota native, after spending last season with the Los Angeles Clippers, has committed to sign with the Wolves and new coach Tom Thibodeau on July 7, when a league-wide moratorium on signings and trades is lifted.

Aldrich averaged 5.5 points and 4.8 rebounds in 60 games for the Clippers last season. He will slide into the big man rotation in Minnesota with Karl-Anthony Towns and Gorgui Dieng.

A six-year veteran, Aldrich has also played for the Oklahoma City Thunder, Houston Rockets, Sacramento Kings and New York Knicks.
