The Los Angeles Dodgers were off on Thursday, but outfielder Joc Pederson made sure that ace left-hander Clayton Kershaw got some work in upon entering a suite at Air Canada Centre, where the Toronto Raptors hosted the Miami Heat in Game 2 of the NBA's Eastern Conference semifinals.
Pederson tweeted out a video of himself playing "defense" on Kershaw as he walked through the door of the room. Kershaw was able to quickly turn the tables on the 24-year-old though, backing him into the corner before letting up.
Unsurprisingly, plenty of Los Angeles fans replied to the tweet with pleas for Pederson to be careful with the prized left arm of their three-time National League Cy Young Award winner.
Kershaw will pitch Saturday for the Dodgers, who are in Canada to face the Toronto Blue Jays in a three-game series.
