The LA Galaxy's current form has Mexican playmaker Giovani dos Santos worried.

After Wednesday's 1-0 defeat to the Vancouver Whitecaps at StubHub Center -- LA's fourth straight loss in MLS -- the 28-year-old admitted he has concerns with the state of the Galaxy.

"This is one of the most important clubs in the league, and in any other part of the world, our situation would be managed differently," Dos Santos told ESPN Digital after the Galaxy's sixth home loss of the season.

"It's a complicated moment, as everyone can see. In the team, we're worried about this situation.

"We can't continue going on like this, and starting next game, we need to start getting points because we want to reach the playoffs."

The Galaxy have won just six of their first 19 league games while losing nine. They are in ninth place in the the Western Conference, three places and five points adrift of the playoff spots.

They were also knocked out of the U.S. Open Cup last week and were thrashed 5-2 by Manchester Unitedin a friendly on Saturday.

And Dos Santos, who recently got called up to participate in the MLS All-Star game against Spanish giants Real Madrid, believes there's very few positives to be had from LA's last few games.

"We can't rescue anything [about the team's current streak]. There's very little to rescue because this is already a long streak of bad results," he said.

"Today, we talked about the importance of the start of the second half of the season. But, well, now we have no other option but to get the next three points in our next game."

The Galaxy next head to the East Coast, where the Los Angeles side will face the New England Revolution on Saturday.

"The first thing that we need to do is to stop conceding goals, especially when we play at home," said Giovani, who this summer played 185 minutes with Mexico's national team at the Confederations Cup.

"Tonight, I don't think we played badly, but after they scored their goal, the game got complicated for us.

"We have to quickly find the solutions. We need to pick up points because if we don't, our ticket to the playoffs will be out of reach."
