LA Chargers help in Harvey relief effort
The Los Angeles Chargers will end their preseason schedule Thursday night at the 49ers. The team wants to finish on a strong note, but Tropical Storm Harvey will be on the minds of some players.

COSTA MESA, Calif. (KABC) -- The Los Angeles Chargers will end their preseason schedule Thursday night at the 49ers. The team wants to finish on a strong note, but Tropical Storm Harvey will be on the minds of some players.

Although Houston is 1,500 miles away, images of the aftermath are hitting home to a few Chargers.

They had practice today in Costa Mesa before leaving to Santa Clara tomorrow.

Defensive tackle Damion Square is from Houston. Many of his family members live in Houston. He says they're safe and the city will bounce back from the devastation.
