Ola Kamara insists 2018 will be different for the LA Galaxy.
The Galaxy are looking to rebound from a disappointing 2017 in which the five-time MLS Cup champions finished 11th in the Western Conference and out of the playoffs.
The club defeated New YorkCity FC 3-0 in a preseason match on Saturday, and Kamara, who was with Columbus Crew SC last year, said, while a friendly win shouldn't be taken out of proportion, it could be a sign of an improved campaign this season.
"We're getting fit," Kamara said. "I think people saw that. And this season is going to be different."
Although Kamara, a forward, was quick to caution that preseason featsdon't always predict what will happen once the games begin counting.
He said: "I haven't scored a goal in preseason the last three years, so I don't know if it's positive to score now or not.
"But the fitness is good and it's always a good feeling scoring goals. I love that."
