To help shore up an injury-ravaged backcourt, the Lakers have signed guard Vander Blue for their final two games of the 2014-15 season, the team announced Monday.

Blue is expected to be available when the Lakers play the Kings in Sacramento on Monday night.

Blue joins the Lakers from their NBA Development League affiliate, the Los Angeles D-Fenders, where he ranked second in the D-League in scoring (23.3 points per game) and averaged 5.4 rebounds and 5.3 assists in 49 appearances.

He's the third D-Fender to be called up to the Lakers this season, and he'll add depth after the team lost guard Dwight Buycks to a fractured right hand in Sunday's loss to the Dallas Mavericks.

The Lakers were already without guards Jeremy Lin (knee), Nick Young (knee), Steve Nash (back) andKobe Bryant (shoulder).
