NEW YORK -- The top two picks in the draft could meet on the opening day of the NBA Summer League in Las Vegas.
The Minnesota Timberwolves and Los Angeles Lakers, who own the first two choices, will play July 10 when the Summer League tips off.
The start of the 11-day schedule also includes a matchup between Golden State and Cleveland, the teams playing in the NBA Finals.
The league announced the schedule Tuesday. It will include 24 teams and 67 games played at the Thomas & Mack Center and Cox Pavilion on the campus of UNLV.
Teams will play three preliminary-round games from July 10-14 before being seeded in a tournament that starts July 15 and concludes with the championship July 20. Each team is guaranteed to play at least five games.
Sacramento won the 2014 championship.
The draft is June 25.
