LeBron passes MJ in ASG scoring
NEW YORK -- Cleveland Cavaliers forward LeBron James surpassed Michael Jordan and moved into second place on the NBA's all-time All-Star scoring list Sunday night when he scored his 263rd career point in the first half of the East's 163-158 loss.
Los Angeles Lakers guard Kobe Bryant ranks first on the all-time list with 280 career All-Star points. Jordan finished his career with 262.
James finished with an East-leading 30 points, going 11-for-21 from the field while hitting 4 of 12 from 3-point range.
Oklahoma City Thunder guard Russell Westbrookgarnered MVP honors, scoring a game-high 41 points after putting up 27 before halftime for the West -- a single game All-Star record for most points in a half.
Wilt Chamberlain holds the All-Star single-game record with 42 points in 1962.
