Mike Trout out again to rest hurt wrist; new OF David DeJesus gets start

HOUSTON -- Los Angeles Angels star Mike Trout was out of the lineup for a second straight game, Wednesday night's 6-3 loss to the Houston Astros, with an injured left wrist.

Trout was hurt trying to make a diving catch in the fourth inning on Sunday in a 13-7 victory overTexas. He remained in the game and later hit a grand slam.

But Trout's wrist was bothering him on Tuesday, and he sat out Tuesday's 10-5 loss to the Astros.

An MRI revealed no structural damage. He is listed as day-to-day.

Trout leads the majors with 31 homers and is hitting .315 with 64 RBIs.

David DeJesus, who was traded from theRayson Tuesday, started in Trout's place and went 0-for-4 with three strikeouts from the leadoff spot.

Wednesday's loss dropped the Angels one game back of the Astros for the AL West lead, and Los Angeles will try to avoid being swept in Thursday's series finale.
