Free-agent forward Milan Lucic has agreed to a seven-year, $42 million contract with the Edmonton Oilers, agent Gerry Johannson told The Associated Press.
Lucic tallied 20 goals and 35 assists in 81 games last season with the Los Angeles Kings.
He will help fill the void left by Edmonton's trade of left wingerTaylor Hall to the New Jersey Devils for defenseman Adam Larsson.
The move reunites Lucic with general manager Peter Chiarelli. The two won a Stanley Cup together with the Boston Bruins in 2011.
