North Carolina has settled a lawsuit stemming from a 2014 alleged hazing incident for $795,000.

Former walk-on wide receiver Jackson Boyer was injured in an altercation at the Aloft Hotel in Chapel Hill, where the football team stays during preseason camp. Yahoo! Sports first reported that it was a hazing incident.

According to the settlement, which was obtained by the Charlotte Observer, the money "covers all of Jackson Boyer's actual or potential personal injury claims, including but not limited to, any claim for damages, attorneys' fees and litigation expenses."

North Carolina never publicly said the incident involved hazing, but the settlement documents say that the school will "continue its good faith, best efforts towards developing healthy team cultures, taking into account the recommendations of the university's current working group tasked with addressing student issues involving hazing and bullying."

Boyer played in seven games in 2014 before transferring to Southern California.
