Special Olympians aim for more than gold medal
Organizers and volunteers say, for Special Olympians, it's not just about winning the gold it's more about the thrill of competing and having a blast.

LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- The Special Olympics World Games are well underway. Monday's schedule brings events, such as sailing in Long Beach, soccer at UCLA and aquatics at the University of Southern California.

Organizers and volunteers say, for Special Olympians, it's not just about winning the gold it's more about the thrill of competing and having a blast.
