The Los Angeles Galaxy have announced former Liverpool midfielder Steven Gerrard will be unveiled at half-time of the franchise's July 4 home game against Toronto FC.
Gerrard, who signed a designated player contract with the team in January, won't be eligible to make his first MLS appearance until July 8, when the international transfer window opens.

The 2005 Champions League winner will begin training with his new club on July 7, the team also announced Monday.
The Galaxy have scheduled a media conference to follow his first training session. Gerrard and his wife are already in town, having arrived in Los Angeles on Saturday.
LA, which currently sit fourth in the Western Conference standings, next play the San Jose Earthquakes on July 1.
