Tevin Coleman (concussion) to miss game vs. Panthers after shower fall

FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. -- Atlanta Falcons rookie running back Tevin Coleman, who slipped and hit his head in the shower at the team facility on Wednesday, has been ruled out for Sunday's game against Carolina Panthers.

Coleman's absence means the Falcons will go with Terron Ward as the backup to starter Devonta Freeman.

Coach Dan Quinn didn't give any indication that Coleman's concussion would keep him out more than one game.

"Only based on the fact that he was doing better today," Quinn said. "So he's seeing the docs every day and going through the protocol. Just straight bummer for him, man. I'm anticipating moving forward from here just kind of incrementally getting better as it goes."

Quinn also ruled out rookie nose tackle Grady Jarrett with a shoulder injury. Starting nose tackle Paul Soliai is probable coming off a calf injury.

Middle linebacker Paul Worrilow is expected to start after missing last week with left knee swelling. Worrilow had the knee drained.

Also probable for the Falcons are left tackle Jake Matthews (back), guard Chris Chester (shoulder), and wide receiver/kick returner Devin Hester (toe). Defensive tackle Ra'Shede Hageman (knee) is questionable.
