WESTWOOD, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A UCLA football player was arrested for an alleged robbery on campus.
According to the university, Ishmael Adams is accused of forcefully taking a cellphone from an Uber driver.
Adams, a Woodland Hills native, was taken into custody by UCLA police shortly after 3:30 a.m. Sunday. He is being held on $100,000 bail.
The 21-year-old senior is expected to make his first court appearance on Tuesday.
Adams is a starting defensive back for the school's football team. UCLA is expected to kick off its football season this Saturday at the Rose Bowl against the Virginia Cavaliers.
