26-year-old student found dead in UCLA campus housing

WESTWOOD, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A death investigation was underway after a 26-year-old female UCLA student was found dead in campus housing Wednesday.

Los Angeles firefighters responded around 6:44 p.m. to the 11000 block of Weyburn Avenue in Westwood. They were responding to a medical call.

UCLA media relations released a statement regarding the student's death.

"There are no signs of suicide, no signs of foul play. The coroner is investigating," it said, in part.

The statement went on to say that no further information would be released pending notification of next of kin.
