LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A Hollywood-based company's body cameras include special technology to help police officers do their jobs and also keep them accountable.
In the past year, the idea of police officers wearing body cameras has become the norm for an increasing number of departments across the country.
But not all body cameras are created equal. Wolfcom Vision is putting new technology in the hands of police - or rather - on their lapels.
The company's body cameras feature a patent-pending technology called "Critical Reconnect." If the main camera comes undone in a scuffle or chase, the second camera kicks in, making sure nothing is missed.
The cameras also feature a record light to let citizens know they are being recorded and a swivel neck to account for various heights.
