Tractor-trailer jackknifes on SB405 Fwy in Seal Beach

SEAL BEACH, Calif. (KABC) -- A tractor-trailer jackknifed in southbound 405 Freeway lanes at Seal Beach Boulevard in Seal Beach Monday afternoon, closing lanes and backing up traffic for miles for approximately two hours.

The carpool lane and the two far-right lanes were open. All other lanes were closed. Traffic was backed up to Lakewood Blvd. The southbound 605 Freeway is also affected, with traffic backed up from Katella to the 405. Northbound traffic was also slow, from Westminster Avenue to Seal Beach Blvd.

The accident was reported at 1:23 p.m. No injuries were immediately reported. Lanes were cleared by 3:30 p.m.
