HYDE PARK, LOS ANGELES -- A 56-year-old woman was killed after she was struck by a car in Hyde Park. A search is underway for the hit-and-run driver.

The incident occurred around 9:45 p.m. Friday when the woman, later identified as Diane Dupree, was walking near the intersection of West 63rd Street and Crenshaw Boulevard.

Authorities say a dark, four-door sedan struck the victim and fled the scene.

Investigators say Dupree lived in the neighborhood. It's unclear what she was doing at the time of the incident.

As of Sunday morning, no arrests have been made.
