Southern California forecast Sunday

Sunday will be a day of cloudy morning skies that will dissipate to clear skies and warm conditions before a heat wave comes back to the Southland.

Expect morning fog in several Southern California areas on Sunday, ahead of warm temperatures in the 80s and 90s later in the day.

More patchy skies may linger in Los Angeles and Orange counties again. Nice temperatures in the mid-80s should warm things up in the afternoon.

The valleys and Inland Empire will see another day with high temps in the mid-90s. Triple-digits are expected on Monday.

Expect a swell of 2-4 feet at the beaches, where temperatures will reach 77 degrees.

The mountain communities will see warm temperatures creeping into the 80s amid sunny conditions, although there is another 10 percent chance of an isolated thunderstorm.

Desert areas will be hot with temperatures in the upper 90s with a 10 percent chance for thunderstorms in the evening.
