Late season storm to bring light rain, cold temps, wind to Southern California Sunday

LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Southern California will some light rain Sunday, but it should clear out in time for your afternoon plans.

Light rain will start moving into Santa Barbara County Saturday night, and parts of Ventura and Los Angeles counties may also see spotty showers overnight into Sunday.

By early Sunday morning, the showers will move into the Inland Empire, then down to San Diego County, and eventually to the Low Desert.

By around 7:30 a.m. Sunday, most of the rain is expected to have cleared out of our area, making way for a mostly clear day.

SoCal forecast breakdown for Sunday

Los Angeles and Orange counties on Sunday will see some passing showers early in the morning followed by clearing skies and gusty winds. The high will reach 68.

Similar conditions are expected in the valleys and the Inland Empire. The sunshine and slightly warmer temperatures return on Monday with temps in the low 70s.

Beaches on Sunday will see some light morning showers, making way for a partly cloudy day with temps in the low 60s.

A high of 49 is expected in the mountains with a 40% of showers and snow in the morning.

The deserts will see some light showers as well with a high of 59 and gusty winds.
