Homicide investigation underway after man is found dead in Athens

ATHENS, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Homicide detectives Saturday were investigating a deadly shooting in the Athens area.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department said a man was found dead on the street in the 1000 block of 122nd Street after responding to a call of a shooting around 8 p.m. Friday.

The victim has not been identified.

No further information on the circumstances or a possible suspect were released.
