SILVER LAKE, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Police are searching for the vandals who slashed or punctured the tires of at least 12 vehicles in the Silver Lake area.
Brooke Larson says she's fed up.
"I just feel like they need to relax and get a grip and quit being a nut job," Larson said.
All incidents were reported between Sunday and Thursday, according to police. It happened along Golden Gate and Crestmont avenues as well as Effie, Dillon and Redcliff streets.
Vanessa Gray's car was hit Thursday. She's paying for a rental in the meantime, and says replacing the tires isn't a cheap fix.
"It costs money. People don't have money to throw away to Enterprise," Gray said.
Larson says she had to pay over $200.
According to LAPD, at least 12 cases have been reported. Residents say they've counted more than 20 vandalized vehicles.
The cars targeted share one common factor: the tires damaged are all located on the curbside.
The LAPD is investigating, still residents are taking matters into their own hands. They staked out their neighborhood and noticed a suspicious woman twice.
Still who slashed the tires and why remains a mystery. No suspect information has been released. The Los Angeles Police Department is investigating.
