We're getting our first look at a brand-new Polynesian island, located about 40 miles southwest of the main island of Tonga.
The island, which has not yet been named, was formed by the eruption of an underwater volcano, which produced new rock formations. It has only existed for a few months.
GP Orbassano, an Italian hotel owner, took the photos when he set foot on the island recently. He is already touting its potential as a tourist attraction.
