Class teaches how to walk the red carpet
A class taught by Hollywood photographers teaches students how to walk the red carpet and look great doing it.

Photographers Dave Edwards and Kathy Hutchins have spent their careers on Hollywood's front lines, but now they're putting their more than 50 years of experience to teaching others how to walk the red carpet.

At Hollywood Red Carpet School, students will learn the rules of the red carpet road.

"We work the carpets and we see that some people know exactly what to do and some of the newer ones have a little bit of a harder time making everybody happy," Hutchins said.

The pair said photographers often care more about a colorful outfit unless the person is an A-list celebrity.

"Never wear black. Everybody has the little black dress. Everybody thinks that make them look good. It doesn't. Black does not print well in magazines," Edwards said.

Students get practice walking the red carpet too.

"After the class portion is done, we actually put them on a red carpet and take pictures of them and give them tips as they're posing on how to do it best," Hutchins said.
