ARCADIA, Calif. (KABC) -- Police in Arcadia are investigating two home invasion robberies that happened in quick succession that they believe may be related.

The first robbery occurred around 10:23 p.m. on the 700 block of Sharon Road, where police said two adults were home when three suspects held one victim at gunpoint in a garage and attempted to kick in the door of the attached home while the second victim was inside.

According to police, the victims only saw two of the suspects, who they described as a 17 to 19-year-old African American woman standing at about 5 feet, 4 inches tall with a thin build and an African American man with a goatee.

The third suspect was waiting in a dark-colored sedan, according to police. All three fled without taking any property.

About an hour later, while officers were still in the neighborhood investigating the first home invasion robbery, they were flagged down by another resident who said his family had just been robbed.

According to the victim, three suspects forced their way into his home and held two adults and two juveniles at gunpoint while ransacking the residence.

The suspects were described as two African American women in their 20s and a black man with a goatee armed with a handgun.

By the time officers arrived, the suspects had fled, taking electronic devices, cell phones and cash with them.

Anyone with information about the incidents is encouraged to contact the Arcadia Police Department at 626-574-5151, case #18-0132.
