Most U.S. drivers blame the other guy

In the survey by Nationwide Mutual Insurance, 98 percent of drivers considered themselves to be safe.

Still, 81 percent admitted to talking on their cell phone while behind the wheel. When it comes to texting and driving only 18 percent admit to the practice, which is outlawed in California.

According to the /*National Safety Council*/, each year in the United States more than 636,000 crashes, 330,000 injuries, 12,000 serious injuries and 2,600 deaths are caused by a distracted driver on a cell phone.
