Retired Huntington Park police chief avoids jail

FULLERTON, Calif.

A plea deal will keep Huntington Park Police Department's former police chief out of jail.

Retired Chief Paul Wadley admitted to three sex-related misdemeanor charges in exchange for three years' probation. He pleaded guilty to two counts of prowling and one count of tampering with a vehicle.

He had originally faced more than a dozen charges, including indecent exposure and placing lewd photos of himself and other men on women's cars and along hiking trails near his Anaheim Hills home.

The 56-year-old former chief has also been ordered to perform community service and stay away from area hiking trails.
