LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Colorado will soon become part of the exclusive list of states to have In-N-Out Burger restaurants.

The Irvine-based company said it is in the early planning stages of its expansion to the state.

In-N-Out said it's working on plans to build a patty production facility and distribution center in Colorado Springs to support future restaurants in that state.

The company said it does not yet have a timeline for the construction of the support facilities or future restaurants. It also did not elaborate on the number of locations in the works for Colorado.

The burger chain currently operates more than 300 locations in six states: California, Utah, Arizona, Texas, Nevada and Oregon.
