George Clooney praises optimism in 'Tomorrowland'
George Clooney's latest movie 'Tomorrowland' gets its title from the happiest place on Earth, but the science-fiction fantasy film is much more mysterious.

George Clooney's latest movie "Tomorrowland" gets its title from the happiest place on Earth, but the science-fiction fantasy film is much more mysterious.

Clooney plays a jaded, surly, reclusive scientist who was once a wide-eyed boy genius. He teams up with a curious teenager who has a thirst for the scientific world.

Their adventure gives us a look into the future, including both the good and the bad. The answers for a better world may exist in this otherworldly place called Tomorrowland.

Clooney loved the movie's optimism.

"I'm not a very cynical guy, but I like doing cynical films. This was one that felt like there was none of that and sort of clean of all those kinds of things. I thought it would be fun to do," Clooney said.

Clooney is part of the action in this movie, but he says he's now less macho and more mature.

"I used do in my 30s, I would do a film with some action in it where I get to punch some guy, knock him out and walk away. Now, I'm the guy that gets punched and dropped," Clooney said.

The actor says he's never been as happy as he is now with his attorney wife Amal. For these two, even figuring out where to live is an adventure.

"I'll go to New York to work, and she'll say, 'Okay, I'll go teach at Columbia for three months,' and it just has been an incredibly wonderful time," he said.
