Heather Locklear suffers minor injuries in Thousand Oaks car crash

THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. (KABC) -- Actress Heather Locklear, known for her roles in shows such as "Melrose Place" and "Spin City," suffered minor injuries in a car crash in Thousand Oaks.

Locklear, who was driving, crashed her vehicle in the 700 block of Country Valley Road around 6 p.m. Thursday, according to Ventura County sheriff's officials.

Authorities said Locklear suffered only minor injuries, but was taken to Los Robles Hospital and Medical Center for further evaluation.

Drugs and alcohol were not factors in the crash, authorities said.

The investigation was ongoing.
