Casey Kasem's wife caught on camera throwing raw meat
PORT ORCHARD, Wash. (KABC) -- Casey Kasem's wife was caught on camera throwing raw meat after some kind of altercation with her stepdaughter.
Reciting a bible verse, Jean Kasem threw a pound of raw hamburger meat at Kerri Kasem as she tried to have her father taken to the hospital.
"In the honor of King David, I throw this piece of meat to you, to the dogs," Jean Kasem is heard saying on the video.
Paramedics were finally able to remove the ailing radio legend after authorities were called to a home outside Seattle, where he and his wife have been staying.
On Friday, Kerri Kasem left the house in tears just hours after a Washington state judge granted her the right to visit her father and have him examined by a doctor.
Casey Kasem is now 82 years old and on a feeding tube and unable to speak because of a debilitating form of dementia.
He was not in the courtroom Friday when his wife of 34 years and her stepdaughter continued their battle for the right to oversee his medical care.
The emotions, which were contained in court, boiled over afterward.
"Shame on these children who have done this to their father and have shredded my family," Jean Kasem said to reporters after the hearing.
She blasted Casey's older children and even played a recording she says is of her husband's response to the legal drama.
The ongoing battle has both sides of the family accusing the other of distressing the ailing DJ and tarnishing his legacy. Another hearing in the family legal battle is set for Friday.
