Peter Krause dishes on starring role in 'The Catch' as con artist
Peter Krause, who plays a con artist on the new television series 'The Catch,' says the show is a fun, entertaining ride.

LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Peter Krause plays a con artist on the new television series "The Catch."

After starring roles as the good son on "Six Feet under" and the doting dad on "Parenthood," he's thrilled Shonda Rhimes and the TGIT gang offered him a part that lets him show more of his range.

"It is very different, certainly from 'Parenthood,' which was on for six years, and after playing a guy whose sole aim in life was to be the best husband, the best father, the best son, the best brother he can be - to play a con artist is different," he said.

In "The Catch," Krause's con artists tricks Mireille Enos' character into falling in love with him, while he steals her money and undermines her business. But the only hitch is that he's fallen for her, too.

What results is a game of cat and mouse that Krause said only gets more entertaining each episode.

"The con artistry gets very fascinating as time goes on and what they do and how they do it and what's happening," he said. "But you're always aware it's a show. It's meant to sit on the couch, sit back and enjoy. It's meant to be fun."
