Tax credits to bring back California's runaway productions
California's runaway productions have been a problem for years, but newly expanded tax incentives are expected to draw many back.

LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- California's runaway productions have been a problem for years, but newly expanded tax incentives are expected to draw many back.

In all, 11 television productions have qualified for the new round of incentives. Feature films can apply starting next month.

Gov. Jerry Brown signed off on the new, five-year incentive program last September.

The film commission says the new program will generate hundreds of millions of dollars locally.
