Firefighters find body while putting out brush fire in Mead Valley

MEAD VALLEY, Calif. (KABC) -- Firefighters responding to a brush fire in Mead Valley in Riverside County discovered a body Friday morning.

The fire was reported around 5:30 a.m. at Cajalco Road and Haines Street.

Fourteen firefighters put out the flames within about 20 minutes.

The Riverside County Sheriff's Department is investigating the death.

There was no immediate word on the person's identity or cause of death.
