COSTA MESA, Calif. (KABC) -- The Orange County Fair officially opened its doors at noon on Friday.
The fair, themed "Summer Starts Here," features deep-fried foods, carnival rides, live music and games.
This year's deep-fried goodies include fried chicken skins, fried Doritos and fried pickle corn dogs.
Animal lovers can also enjoy the petting zoo. One of the new animals this year is a cute zebu calf, which is a miniature cow.
Admission is free for everyone from noon to 1 p.m. for Opening Day. The fair runs through Aug. 10 and opens Wednesday-Sunday.
